What a free talk scene is
When the input box opens in the middle of the story, you can write whatever you want to say. Each scene allows a fixed number of messages, and the remaining count is shown on screen. It is usually between three and five.
Characters answer in their own voice. Seoyeon stays composed and hits back with a smile, Yuna keeps it short, and Dain uses a lot of exclamation marks. The same sentence lands differently depending on who you say it to.
One-on-one talk and group talk
In personal talk you speak with one character. In scenes where several characters are together, group talk opens and more than one character reacts to a single message. In group talk the points from one message are shared between the characters, so affinity builds at a different pace than in personal talk.
How your tone changes affinity
- Positive conversation raises affinity. There is a cap so a single message cannot raise it by a lot.
- Rude remarks, lies and crossing a character's boundaries lower affinity, sometimes by a large amount.
- Writing a short message is not penalized by itself.
- A character may laugh something off and still lose affinity. Expression and affinity move separately.
- Free talk after an ending does not raise or lower affinity.
A PERFECT ending needs affinity of 100, so free talk points matter. See the endings guide for how the endings are decided.
What works and what does not
- Messages that follow from what just happened in the scene are taken naturally.
- Showing you remember what a character already told you earns a warmer reply.
- Trying to get close too fast at low affinity can be turned down. Even at high affinity, a refusal is still respected.
- Claiming something happened when it did not makes the story drift.
What to avoid typing
What you type is sent through a server to an AI model to generate the reply. Do not enter personal details such as your real name, contact information, account data or address. AI replies can occasionally feel off or contradict the character. If that happens, try again with different wording.

Frequently asked questions
Are the replies the same every time?
No. The AI writes each reply on the spot, so the same message can get a different answer.
How much affinity can I gain?
It depends on your tone and can go up or down. Each message has a cap on how much it can add, so one sentence will not raise it by a lot.
Can I type personal information?
Please do not. What you type is sent through a server to an AI model to generate the reply.
